Black sea winner tragedy – Russian roulette and dogs were the victims
I wrote couple of months ago about why on earth there is circuits like Black Sea winner which means first of all major inflation for Champion titles. How can Crufts dog show that I use to respect give Crufts qualification under these kind of shows. I told few months ago that I would not put my own dogs or would not let dogs that I ve bred been shown under this kind of place under all that stress. The worst thing is that dogs are in danger under this kind of July circuits in one of the hottest part of Europe. I must say we all should know also the infrastructure of the area we are showing. This is not the strongest part of Europe we are talking about. It is Russian rulette really to show like 10 days in a row in middle of July. But people are gambling with the dogs here.
Most of all this hobby should be about well being of the dogs. I am a Georapher by my original education. I do know what weather should be around Black Sea in hottest months of the year. Are local kennel clubs not aware of this? What about FCI and The Kennel Club giving their qualifications in these circumstances? What about their responsibility? It is hot and not good for the dogs. Now I heard a rumor that over 10 dogs would have died in these terrible conditions. This number may be much less as no one has confirmed the number. It seems that for sure two dogs have died.
Is someone really surprised? How can FCI deal and give cacib shows in for ever running shows in hot climate middle of July like this? How can Crufts dog show give Crufts qualifications in such circumstances. I was dissapointed when I heard about all of this. Now I feell so sorry for the poor dogs that have died in terrible way. I feel sorry for the people who loose their dogs.
Now I hope that FCI, The Kennel Club and local (all those weard kennel clubs) dealing and selling their titles in very low price would have some kind of responsibility and that they would learn about this.
Let´s not do blame the people. This lost and tragedy must be hard enough for them . Let´s just hope people would learn and this would mean end of this kind circuits under terrible conditions. Well being of the dogs must come first. Champion title is not worth of risking a dog´s life.
Rest in piece dogs dead already and let´s hope there will not be more victims."
